Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019 and the inaugural issue of our bi-monthly agency newsletter, WHAT’S ingeNEWity. At Mason we deliver communications ingenuity to find innovative ways to help clients reach their audience and drive results. Every other month this year, WHAT’S ingeNEWity will provide our readers with a look inside the walls of our agency to examine the latest in industry trends, provide insight on notable client work and share our involvements within the community.
When the brilliant computer scientist, John McCarthy first coined the term “artificial intelligence” back in 1955 could he have possibly known just how far reaching this field would become? In our industry trends feature Manager of Digital Strategy & Analytics, Mark Scheets examines how AI technology is impacting search marketing, changing content and improving user experience 64 years after its inception.
Everyone loves a great comeback story. In our client work feature President, Steve Hayes takes us behind the message of Mason’s new multi-media campaign, “Comeback Kid” to see how medicine is transforming lives at Yale New Haven Health.
It’s not every day that an agency decides to redesign its website, but here at Mason we recently did that very thing. In this issue Creative Director of Digital, Neil Johnson shares the reasons for our website redesign, the process that went behind it and the future benefits that we expect to come from it.
Last, but certainly not least, one year ago an internal committee was formed at our agency to gather and discuss how we could make a difference within the Connecticut communities in which we live, work and play. Out of those meetings came an employee volunteer and giving initiative simply called Mason GIVES. In this issue Director of Client Services, Derek Beere chronicles how Mason has partnered with Family Centered Services of Connecticut, New Haven Day of Caring and Special Olympics Connecticut in a variety of programs and events that have greatly inspired each and everyone of us. We’re looking forward to giving even more in 2019!
